The Shagadelics are an Atlanta based Folk Rock band that thrives through unorthodox writing, eclectic sounds and styles, playing live gigs and building community. Blues rock guitarist and songwriter Aaron Rizzo and folk vocalist and songwriter Maggie Monica combined the best halves of their brains to create the fly lovechild that is The Shagadelics. 

The Shagadelics played their first acoustic duo gig on the patio of Dewey’s Pizza in Monica’s home town, Columbus, Ohio. Soon after, they picked up their Drummer Sean Ferguson (aka SeanCD) in Syracuse New York where they played their first gig as a trio at a vintage consignment store by the name of Cluttered Closet. After about a year, the group wandered south to Atlanta where the band now lives, breathes, and grocery shops. 

The Shags love stripping songs down to their socks and letting the lyrics do the dancing, but they also have found joy in expanding their sound into a full band and Rizzo’s one true love — his Les Paul. It is important to note that Maggie Monica is on a lifelong endeavor to gender neutralize the word ‘dude’ and that Aaron Rizzo owns a purple dinosaur onesie in case of emergency. Despite their quirks and peculiarities, they’re very serious about good music. 

Redd is an up and coming indie-folk singer songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee. She is currently working on her first album Monsters & Mothers. The latest single, which will appear on the album will release August 6th. All singles will be featured on my upcoming album, Monsters & Mothers. 

Redd also appears on Season 4 (2021) of American Idol. 
 Redd recently quit her job of teaching high school English, journalism, yearbook, and coaching cross country and track at the local STEM Academy in Knoxville, TN to pursue music full time.
